The Greenpeace 2020 candidate climate scorecard is here!

BREAKING: The Greenpeace climate team just spent the past two months asking each candidate running for president how they'll tackle the climate crisis if they win — and the results are in. Here's what the 2020 presidential candidates said (or didn't say) on climate.

Check out the climate scorecard!

The official Greenpeace #Climate2020 candidate scorecard is finally here. Check it out (It's interactive and fun too)!

The pressure's on to stop the climate crisis. This week, from Wyoming to Ohio and across Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, tens of millions of people experienced severe storms and historic flooding — all consistent with the escalating impacts of climate change.

That's why Greenpeace is jumping into the race for the White House and bearing witness to how the 2020 candidates are pledging to address the climate crisis — the stakes are too high to sit on the sidelines. Think about it: If we can get every 2020 candidate to support a Green New Deal and say #NoToFossilFuels, this election could ignite a clean energy revolution.

The first step is knowing just how far each presidential candidate is willing to go to change the course of history. Then we can pressure them to do better.

I know you've been waiting for it because I've been waiting too — get informed on how the 2020 candidates plan to act on the climate crisis with Greenpeace's new #climate2020 scorecard. And, as the candidates' plans evolve and change, we'll update the scores as we go.

Look no further. Here's your interactive #2020Climate candidate scorecard.

The good news is that we have real momentum in making climate a presidential priority this primary season.

Candidates are competing for the mantle of climate leadership. And the tolerance for those who are bringing half-baked or downright bad ideas is slim. Two weeks ago, it was reported that former Vice President Joe Biden would release a  "middle of the road" climate plan — but thanks to a quick (and loud!) response from people like you, the campaign immediately walked the proposal back, promising a comprehensive plan "soon." Congrats!

So get excited, tell your friends about our interactive #Climate2020 scorecard, and let's keep the pressure up on the whole Democratic field to get us to a safe climate future for everyone.

We can make this THE climate election,

Vanessa Butterworth
Senior Online Climate Campaigner, Greenpeace USA
