Join our call on Climate Leadership!

You've seen it, each week the climate movement is getting more vibrant and making more headlines. The Green New Deal, student climate strikes, and just this Saturday we heard that the Line 3 pipeline would be delayed another year, another step to stopping it once in for all.

It's time to rise up and flex our people-power like never before.

We need our next president to be a climate leader who will not only acknowledge that climate change is real, but who will call for an end to oil and gas expansion. This won't happen unless we all come together and demand that all of our candidates are true climate leaders.

Join our mass call Thursday, March 7 at 8pm EST to hear about how we're going to push our presidential candidates to be the climate leaders we need and how you can take action right away.

We know our climate is in real trouble if we don't take immediate action to address the scale of the climate crisis. The Green New Deal is the first step. But we need to make sure all fossil fuels are kept in the ground. That's not going to happen if we don't have leaders who are truly fighting for the climate and taking action — and that starts with presidential candidates.

Recently, we witnessed climate leadership in action when Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz announced his administration will appeal permits of the Line 3 replacement pipeline. For months, Greenpeace supporters like you have been petitioning Gov. Walz to stop Line 3 — which would carry Canadian tar sands oil through Indigenous lands (including wild rice beds), risk oil spills to lakes and the Mississippi River headwaters, and worsen the effects of climate change by releasing more carbon emissions into the atmosphere. Enbridge, the company behind Line 3, had been trying to open Line 3 this year, but over the weekend they announced a year-long delay. As my friend and colleague Rachel pointed out, "Enbridge is just now starting to admit that public opposition has made this timeline ridiculous."

With your engaged support via our webinar, we can continue to push for climate leadership not just in Minnesota (and decisively defeat Line 3) but nationwide — it is time for our presidential candidates to put forth a dedicated plan to protect the climate!

This webinar is an exciting opportunity to get involved in the movement for climate leadership. Join other Greenpeace supporters across the country who will be learning about how to get involved and take action.

I look forward to seeing you there,

P.S. We can't wait for change to happen. Join the webinar to get started and be apart of a movement to protect our climate and communities.

Greenpeace never takes a dime from corporations or governments. Everything we do is thanks to the generous support of people like you!
