I am writing to you from Greenpeace's ship the Arctic Sunrise to let you know that all the 35 activists onboard have been released from arrest.

Spirits are still high among the activists. We are proud that we pulled off a successful, peaceful protest against Statoil's Arctic oil drilling by kayaking into the oil rig's exclusion zone and attaching a large floating globe to the rig. The globe carried messages from people all over the world, making it crystal clear to the Norwegian government that there is a global movement demanding an end to reckless drilling in the Arctic.

Will you speak out too? Add your name to challenge Norway's new Arctic oil frontier and companies like Chevron, ConocoPhillips, and Statoil racing to cash in.

Norwegian authorities arrested our ship, including all 35 activists, and towed us to the mainland. It is sad that Norwegian authorities are more concerned with protecting irresponsible oil drilling operations than protecting our right to protest in international waters. But we will not give in!

It only took a few activists in kayaks to disturb Statoil's drilling, but it's going to take all of us to get the Norwegian government to end drilling in the Arctic for good. State-owned Statoil will continue their operations, until we beat the Norwegian government in court. Now, it's more important than ever to support the case against Arctic oil.

That is why we need you to add your name in support for the climate court case suing the Norwegian government for violation of our constitutional right to a healthy climate.

Every name counts and will be submitted in court as evidence that we are many who are demanding that the Norwegian government stop their careless behaviour of opening up new areas in the melting Arctic for oil drilling.

Let's get the Norwegian government to look out for our future, not Statoil's!

Thanks for all you do,

Britt Baker
