Defend Communities. Protect Wildlife. Take a Stand.

Keystone XL? Offshore Drilling? Oil industry threats to our safety and wildlife keep adding up!

On Monday — just days after the Keystone XL pipeline spilled 210,000 gallons of oil in South Dakota — Nebraska regulators permitted TransCanada to build the Keystone XL pipeline along an alternative route.

Communities from Alaska to Nebraska to the Gulf of Mexico are already facing rising sea levels, erosion, and more destructive storms — all fueled by climate change. Oil spills on their lands and beaches threaten public safety, kill off wildlife, and harm local economies.

And yet, multiple efforts from Congress and Trump right now would put these communities in harm's way by greatly increasing the amount of onshore and offshore area available for oil drilling — and minimizing some of the key protections for communities and wildlife from fossil fuel operations.

The fight doesn't stop with the SECURE Act. We are opposing a slew of bills, battling a host of climate-denier politicians, challenging pipelines and taking on mega-polluting corporations. We need resources to do this. Won't you please make a donation to Greenpeace today?

Communities from coast to coast are up against some of the richest corporations on the planet. Their executives want to risk our lands and waters for profit. And the politicians they've bought and paid for are trying to help them do it.

All Americans have a stake in this fight. We have to protect our land, water, and homes from more oil drilling, more oil spills, whether from offshore or transcontinental pipelines, fracking and leaks, flooding and storm surges. You know how important this is and you know our resistance can change the world. Please help by making a gift right now to support all our efforts to protect the planet.

Thank you for showing you care more about this beautiful country than many members of Congress do.

Sincerely,

Vicky Wyatt,
Offshore Project Leader, Greenpeace USA

P.S. When Americans everywhere come together in unified resistance, we can stop environmental destruction and protect our public lands and oceans from oil corporations and its allies in Congress. Donate today.

Greenpeace never takes a dime from corporations or governments. Everything we do is thanks to the generous support of people like you!
