You and I are in this together

There are few things in life I appreciate more than having this Earth to call home.

Please choose to join Greenpeace today.

Kathleen,

I'm writing you today because the Earth — our one and only home — is in danger.

I've been an activist for most of my 84 years — for civil rights and women's rights, for social justice, for peace. But with the climate crisis threatening the Earth that we all call home, I need activists like you to join me in this fight for our lives.

After years of unrestrained mining, fracking, deforestation, and dumping, the climate crisis is right on our doorstep. This year's worsening hurricanes and devastating floods have destroyed the homes of people worldwide — and they were just some of the first victims of a global emergency threatening to evict us all.

So this holiday season, I'm proud to partner with the activists at Greenpeace USA to call out corporate greed and raise my voice for planet Earth — the only home we've got. Will you please join me in the fight for our homes and make a gift to Greenpeace right now to support all their critical work to save the world?

For decades, I've watched as greedy corporate CEOs prioritized profits over the planet at the height of the climate crisis they helped cause. And the politicians in their back pockets have slowed and stymied the progress needed to end the clear and present danger that faces humanity and every single creature that calls this planet home.

That's why I'm so honored to join Greenpeace USA activists protesting everywhere. Together, we're fighting so that future generations — our children and our children's children — will have a safe, healthy, and sustainable home long after we're gone.

We're fighting for the communities who have felt firsthand the devastating impact of the hurricanes, floods, or wildfires that have destroyed their homes and torn them from their families at a time when they should be able to celebrate and gather with loved ones.

We're fighting for the BIPOC and low-income communities that bear the brunt of this climate crisis. Too often, they face the worst impacts of climate change, and too often they are denied a voice on both the corporate and the political stage where decisions affecting their health and future are made.

This holiday season, no one should be in danger of losing their home — but with the climate crisis worsening with each passing year, that threat is all too real.

We will not stop fighting — Greenpeace members, activists, community members and others — against corporate greed and political inaction, for clean, green, renewable energy. Because we're stronger together.

But we need you to stand in this fight with us: So please, Kathleen, help Greenpeace USA save our homes and our planet with a generous Giving Tuesday gift today. The clock is ticking down until the climate crisis darkens all of our doorsteps, so join us today in the fight for our lives — because tomorrow may be too late.

I've been around long enough to know that it will take concerted, collective action to make a difference. With our Earth's survival on the line, we must act now — or risk it being too late.

Thank you for standing in solidarity with us — we can't do it without you.
