Dear Katy,

Act on climate

What will we tell future generations we did to stop climate change during the Trump era?

While Trump was busy reversing all climate progress, from the Paris agreement1 to vehicle emissions standards,2 what will we say we did to fight back? How did we demand climate action before it was too late?

Next weekend, tens of thousands of climate activists around the world are taking to the streets in a global day of action.3 To stand up for a livable future for everyone, people in cities and towns around the world are demanding that our local and national leaders respond to the climate crisis. Will you join us?

What: Climate, Jobs and Justice Summit
When: 10:00 AM Saturday, September 8
Where: 1700 E 28th Ave, Denver, CO

Together with our partners at 350.org, the People's Climate Movement and hundreds of other groups across the globe, we are calling on all elected officials to fight for a 100 percent clean energy economy, family-sustaining jobs, and justice for everyone regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, national origin or immigration status.

To change everything, we need everyone: in the streets, at the ballot box and beyond. With the 2018 midterm elections fast approaching, now is the time to engage and mobilize our communities for climate, jobs and justice.

Our democracy, our livelihoods and our future depend on a climate movement that reaches every city and town. With all of us acting, we can build a sustainable world for generations to come.
