Thank you for your message

Thank you for your message.

My staff and I look forward to reading more about your ideas. We'll keep your thoughts in mind as we review relevant legislation and further consider this issue.

Keeping in touch is important to me. The best ideas come from people in Colorado, not from politicians in Washington. That's why it's critical for us to hear your opinions on ways to build a better future for Colorado and the country.

To stay up-to-date on the work we're doing, please visit our website, or follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks again for contacting me.

Sincerely,
Michael F. Bennet
United States Senator

After Kelso woke from his nap, I asked him if he'd like to go to the farm. Well he decided I wasn't moving as fast as he'd like, so he motioned to me and said, 'Come', and then took my hand and said, 'Farm'. We were burnin' daylight. And of course he had to wear his cowboy boots!

Here he eyeballs his dinner for Thursday! He also got to ride Dan the Shire round in his pin and learned to say 'Whoa'.

Kenzie missed this excursion and was with Gammy and Nana, but Kelso is the animal crazy one!

Mid August and Back to School

No pictures today as Kelso is still sleeping in our office and I can't get to the home computer to download after he's gone to bed. The heat has finally come down a bit and it's really nice to be outside for dinner, playground, farmers market, and biking the kids to school/daycare. Kelso was 17.8 lbs today at the docs which we took him in to to see about his lingering congestion. Just teething they said even though he's been gagging on it all night long. He has one and a half front, bottom teeth and occaisionally tries them out on me. Kenzie wasn't that heavy at her 1 year check up and I think Kelso eats more than she does now. He'll be bigger than she is long before his 2nd birthday at this rate.
Mackenzie seems to age every time I turn around. We've decided to send her back to her old school that she left in May and she'll start there again next week. It was breaking my heart to think about sending her to yet another school where she knew no one and most, if not all of the kids are younger than she. Montessori seems a good fit for her and she'll be joining some of her old classmates in their new primary 3-6 class.
Rod is getting closer to a job. I'll miss having him around the house like he's been since nearly Kelso's birth! We've been considering a few different business ventures that we may both work on together. We keep a book on the coffee table to throw ideas into. I really enjoy using those dusty corners of my brain, too.
