It’s not too late (yet)

We've barely made it through the first month of summer, Greenpeacer —

But across the United States and the world, the greed-fueled climate crisis has brought about extremes unlike anything humans alive today have seen. And we need you with us to protect our planet's future.

The multiple week-long heatwaves of the early summer have left more than 150 million Americans under extreme heat advisories, watches, and warnings.

Before killing eight and leaving millions more without power in Texas, then-Category 5 Hurricane Beryl ripped roofs from homes, razed key food crops and infrastructure, and decimated entire islands in the Caribbean.

In one day alone, nearly a foot of record-breaking rainfall drenched southern Florida towns, "transforming roadways into rivers."

Now more than ever before, extreme weather and climate chaos is impossible for naysayers and everyday individuals alike to ignore.

There's no way to continue burning oil, coal, and gas and limit climate change. The only way to put an end to this crisis is to raise our voices together, insist on a rapid transition to renewable energy, and demand world leaders stick to the roadmap to keep global temperature rise below 1.5 °C.

It's undeniable that climate change is real and that it's happening now — but so is hope. Hope is wherever you are and wherever people come together with one voice to fight for a greener, healthier future.
