We must act now to stop plastic production.

| | | Kathleen — | The worst-polluting corporations are trying to muddy the waters about the scale of the plastics crisis at hand, but we're taking action to hold them accountable for the global plastics crisis — one of the greatest threats to our Earth. | Our health, our communities, our climate, and our planet are on the line — so please, will you chip in $10 toward our crucial $25,000 goal to help uplift our demands to turn off the plastics-tap and finally end the age of plastic? | | We'll be in Paris at the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution in just two days making sure all Greenpeacers' voices are heard — because world leaders in attendance need to understand that we cannot and will not stop until they find consensus around strong, concrete plans that will: | 1. End plastic reliance that's endangering the health of the planet and all its life-forms; | 2. Cap and phase down plastic production — and phase out new, single-use plastics; | 3. Ensure an inclusive transition to a zero-waste, non-toxic, and reuse-based economy; | 4. and center human rights and the conscious reduction of unequal outcomes for the communities most affected by this crisis. | This is the only way we can end the petrochemical problem at the heart of a potential climate catastrophe — but it won't be that simple. | See, major treaty negotiations like these happen behind closed doors. The corporations most culpable for this crisis will have a seat at the table — unlike the millions of grassroots climate advocates like you, fed up and demanding change around the globe. | So before we head to Paris, we have to build a diverse coalition united around this common goal. It's going to take all of us demanding change to really put decision-makers' feet to the fire. Kathleen, we're hoping that it will start with you. | As a 100% independent, people powered-movement, we will not win without you — so please, chip in $10 to help Greenpeace USA and our allies speak up in Paris for everyone ready to permanently solve the plastics problem. | | Thank you for standing with us. | Greenpeace USA | | | | | | |
