Happy World Penguin Day, Kathleen! On a recent voyage to document the effects of the climate crisis in Antarctica, our researchers took tons of pictures with the flightless friends they made along the way! As carefree as they appear, Antarctic penguins are struggling to survive the climate crisis. On the expedition, we discovered that it's taken a bigger toll than we initially thought — with some chinstrap colonies (like those pictured above) declining as much as 77% since 1971.
