With protests, brochures, and banners, we made sure world leaders got the message — that plastic emits deadly toxins at every stage of its life cycle, and total production must be cut by at least 75% by 2040 to keep global temperatures below 1.5° C — loud and clear. | | But after nearly 200 lobbyists descended on the talks, delegates again failed to ban the plastics poisoning our bodies, destroying natural habitats, and fueling the climate crisis. | | And if industry giants like Dove's parent company, Unilever, get their way, plastic production is projected to triple by 2050! | | Now, the clock is ticking.
