We have 11 years to act

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says that if we are going to have even a chance of holding the global average temperature increase to less than 1.5 degrees Celsius, CO2 emissions must be declining steeply by 2030. That's why we're launching a new campaign to convince our most valued Greenpeace supporters to invest in the future of the planet by funding all of Greenpeace's critical work. We need to get the new Congress to adopt a Green New Deal to lower carbon emissions, stop new fossil fuel expansion (like tar sands pipelines and Arctic drilling), and reverse our descent into planetary destruction. We need to stop the wholesale destruction of ecosystems from the Arctic to the rainforests that remove tons of CO2 from the atmosphere. We need to convince corporations and individuals alike to shift to renewable energy sources — and rewrite the rules to support them. And in order to succeed with this and all of our vital campaigns, we need you to take your support of Greenpeace to the next level.
