Dear Katy, Donald Trump's tax plan is a scam. And he's desperate to push it through congress. The plan gives Trump and his friends – millionaires, billionaires and wealthy corporations – huge tax breaks while increasing the burden for middle class people. In addition to raising taxes, he wants to slash Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education and other services for working families. Trump and his plan are a disgrace. We need Congress to hear loud and clear that they can't let this scam pass. That's why we're joining our friends at Indivisible Front Range Resistance, Indivisible Denver, and Front Range MoveOn to protest in Denver on Friday, Nov. 10 – can you make it? What: STOP the #TrumpTaxScam When: Friday, Nov. 10, 12:00 PM Where: Skyline Park, 16th and Arapahoe, Denver, CO Click here for more information and to RSVP on Facebook Here are just a few of the ways the Trump tax scam undermines working Americans: - Gives huge tax breaks to corporations that shift jobs overseas.
- Cuts corporate taxes by $2.6 trillion while raising taxes on working Americans and seniors on fixed incomes by $500 billion.
- Creates a special low-income rate for wealthy business owners, corporate lobbyists and lawyers, but exempts those working for a salary of hourly wages.1,2
