Kathleen, this is important

| Kathleen, I'm inviting you to join Greenpeace USA along with Congressman Jamie Raskin and movement allies for an urgent discussion about the future of our entire movement. This is an all hands on deck moment. Please RSVP now if you can join us next week on Tuesday, July 25th at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT to learn more about what's at stake and how you can help: For more than 50 years, Greenpeace has exercised our right to peacefully protest and expose environmental harm — even when that means exposing powerful people and companies. That is the soul of Greenpeace. But earlier this week, I met with a group of Greenpeace volunteers to talk about how some of those companies have weaponized the U.S. legal system to attack our entire movement's right to protest. Kathleen, they're trying to destroy our soul. Over the last decade, the fossil fuel industry has targeted more than 150 people and organizations with expensive lawsuits meant to silence and bankrupt their critics. As you may know, Greenpeace USA is one of those targets, and we're fighting back. It's entirely thanks to supporters like you that we've even had the resources to fight back — so many other targets of this corporate bullying do not. Earlier this year we successfully defeated a $100 million lawsuit after a 7-year legal battle. But next summer, Greenpeace USA is going to trial on a $300 million lawsuit that threatens our existence. As I discussed with volunteers this week, our goal can't just be to win this lawsuit — we must stop this corporate bullying for good. Kathleen, we need you to join this conversation and help us fight back. Please RSVP now to let me know if you can attend our important virtual town hall discussion next week. Together we will continue defending our movement's right to peacefully protest, expose environmental harm, and demand a livable planet.
