Your voice matters

| Kathleen, In March, I was absolutely overjoyed to tell you that world leaders delivered one of the biggest conservation victories in human history — a Global Ocean Treaty to help protect at least 30% of the world's oceans! The new Global Ocean Treaty opens the door to the creation of a network of sanctuaries across the globe — areas where fragile ecosystems and marine life can recover and thrive. Though the agreement is in place and the language is finalized, our work is not done — and your voice matters. Over the next 90 days, world leaders will review the agreement, before beginning the process of officially signing the treaty starting September 20. We need President Biden to show the world that the US is fully behind this treaty by signing it on Day 1. Send your message now! Tell the Biden Administration that the US must lead on ocean protections and sign this treaty as soon as possible! Kathleen, the treaty was possible because of years of relentless hard work from many people and a network of allies around the world. It wouldn't have been possible without people like you. You joined 5,540,512 other people from around the world to build a movement that protects our oceans and the billions of people who depend on them. Now is the time to keep this momentum up, to continue to raise our voices, and to make sure that this historic treaty lives up to its full potential. Around the world, Greenpeace is campaigning to make sure that world leaders keep their word and implement this historic treaty, but the US is especially important. The US played a pivotal role in getting this treaty agreed to, and now we need to show the world we're serious by signing it on Day 1. Between now and the 90 days which end in September, we need to raise our voices once again. Please send your message now. For the oceans, Arlo Hemphill Ocean Sanctuaries Project Lead Greenpeace USA PS - It just takes a moment to send your message. Tell the Biden Administration the US must lead on signing this historic Global Oceans Treaty. | | | |
