Kathleen- We all know that plastic pollution is a problem. It's clogging up our waterways, washing onto our shores and killing our wildlife. The problem is growing every day and we cannot waste another second — we need to put a stop to it now. Last year, we saw people fight and win against single-use plastics across the country with straw and plastic bag bans. Now we're taking it to the next level — grocery stores. We see excess plastic everywhere we turn in grocery stores and the corporations that own them have the power to change that. We're challenging the top grocery stores in the country to get rid of single-use plastic packaging and we can't do it without you. Join Greenpeace's Executive Director Annie Leonard on Wednesday, February 13 to learn everything you need to know about how to join our fight against single-use plastic. We'll be having two video calls to accommodate different time zones. To join, register for the call at 6:00PM EST/3:00PM PST here. To join, register for the call at 9:00PM EST/6:00PM PST here. Greenpeace is ranking top grocery stores on their plastic footprint but we need to tell them what we as customers want to see. We urgently need supporters to help us with a crucial part of this campaign! Join us on a video call next week to learn how you can get involved! If enough of us call our grocery stores, they will have to make a change. Let's start by revealing how much single-use plastic they really have in their stores. We can't waste another second — will you join us in holding these grocery stores accountable? For a better world, Linda Rodriguez P.S.
