Hi Kathleen. It's Aidan with Greenpeace's Vote for Climate team.
Your inbox is flooded. I get it. So I'll keep this as quick as humanly possible: Vote By Mail and in-person Early Voting are now available in dozens of states around the country.
This is a critical moment for all of us. It means the election is already happening. And these are two effective ways to ensure that your vote not only gets counted in time, but that you can vote safely too.
This webpage will allow you to:
- Look up your state's rules around early voting;
- Check the status of your mailed-in ballot if you've already filled one out;
- Request a ballot in the mail or look up your early voting locations; and
- Look up the steps you need to take to vote before the polls close November 3rd if you're unable to vote early.
If you're on top of everything and have already cast your vote, I want to say THANK YOU. The most important things you can do in the meantime are:
- Make sure your friends and family have a plan to vote as well by sharing our voter dashboard with them and encouraging them to vote as soon as possible.
- Join a special Greenpeace volunteer team to turn out swing state voters.
Even though November 3rd is 20 days away, the election is happening right now. And the safest, most reliable way to ensure high voter turnout is by taking the necessary steps to get ourselves and our friends to cast ballots as early as possible.
In solidarity,
Aidan King
